Week 73, Great Bend - Thanksgiving and Getting in the Christmas Spirit
Wow, a lot has happened since last I messaged. Let's see. First, we started and finished a music video! I'm singing Silent Night and it's going to be posted on Facebook in the coming weeks so watch out for that. We were able to get a member, Brother Hills, to help with recording with his equipment so we were super thankful for that.
Next, transfers happened. We all got transferred out of Colby so we were super sad about that. I love those elders, and the members we were able to meet, so much. I am now in Great Bend, Kansas. It's basically smack dab in the middle of the State. My new companion is Elder Miller. We had Thanksgiving as a new district here in Great Bend. We got to know each other a bit and played some games together. The food was good and lots of members gave us food. We did have cranberry sauce for the Turkey which I was very happy about :)
Also, we did some service digging up sweet potatoes for a lady who lives in a house that used to be a bank in the 1910s and 20s. The bank was built in 1912 and when the stock market crashed in 1929, angry people shot at the bank trying to get their money back. The second picture below shows some of those bullet marks still there.
We are getting in the Christmas Spirit everyone! Check out the Light the World website to see ideas to spread Christmas Joy every day this season! I am grateful to be able to spread the gospel of Christ in this special time of the year. Covid or not the gospel will roll forward until it fills the whole earth.
Merry Christmas everyone! Let's remember Christ this season.
Adios!

This picture makes me sad. I was so looking forward to playing volleyball but the courts here in Great Bend are literally flooded by the nearby lake.
This pic is me, Elder Smith, and Brother Hills, who was playing the 1800s organ, inside the Prairie Museum's church. We filmed part of our video in there.
