Hey guess what everyone we had a baptism! This past Saturday we baptized Edwin Raymundo Umana Trabanino. He is the father of the kid that got baptized a couple weeks ago. He was super excited to be baptized and enter into this sacred covenant with his father in heaven. I was super nervous because I had to give a talk last minute but it actually turned out better than I thought it would be. The spirit was very strong and permeated the room as I spoke and that was really awesome especially because we had a non member there who we were really excited about. I am so grateful that the spirit helped me deliver the message that it wanted me to. Many people commented to me on it and that was a further testimony builder that God will fill our mouths with his words.
Other news is that we have been wrestling with the members to do Family Nights with us and invite someone who is not a member to share the spirit of Christmas with. We have to be so persistent and insistent with them (our president said we had to be the wives). Its coming along.
I encourage all members everywhere to cooperate and help the missionaries where you live. They have a hard enough time with other people. Please feed them and help them.
A message for everyone. Watch the video by the Church of Jesus Christ titled The Christchild. It tells the story of Christs birth in such a beautiful way in the original language of Christ, Aramaic. But its not the few words that matter, its the heart of the story. This Christmas light the life of those around you with this amazing video celebrating the birth of our Savior Jesus Christ.
Adios!
-Elder Walbom
Guys my camera has a virus and its killing all of my photos.
Online screenshot of part of Elder Walbom's area in Guatemala City. In the middle of the screen is a large Catholic church (with an orange looking roof) that is diagonal. Elder Walbom lives on one of the streets just to the north of that church building.
