Week 34, Primero de Julio - Service opens doors

Favorite Scripture of the week. 2 Pedro 1: 5-12 or something like that.
I found this scripture in my studies this week and I love it. It tells us why developing the attributes of Christ are so essential to our progression. If we are just coasting through life, even trying to be good people, but are not actively trying to improve, we are not doing enough. Righteous living and progression requires a conscious effort and there is nothing passive about it. Every day you should start conscious of how you can improve today from yesterday. And at the end of the day you should give account to yourself and God about how the day was. In this way I have a testimony that we will all improve much faster.

This week is still finding the work slow here, but we did find two new people to teach while I was on divisions with the elders of Nueva Florida. That was good. We got to give service helping these guys in the street move couches and then we were invited in to their house and got to share with them and their family. Service really does open up doors of opportunity.

My companion and I are really trying to just keep going every day and gather Israel even if it seems hard at times. We know that we cannot lose, and if we are guided by God then we will find those whom he wants us to find.

Anyways, hope you all have a good week!
