Week 35, Primero de Julio - I'm Still Here
So Changes came and went and I will be hunkering down in Primero de Julio for one more change. I will definitely be changed in six weeks. My companion didn't change either. But all of that is fine because I love my area, I love the members who are all so helpful, and I love my companion and my district. Plus time flies when you stay in one area for so long. But I am so excited to be able to help these people for another six weeks. #6months
This week, we saw a miracle. We were really trying hard to find new people to teach but they just were not forthcoming. So we felt the impression to knock on a yellow door, and we did. Well no one came out for like 3 minutes and then this guy passed by on the other side of the street and said that he lived there and he would be back in a second. So we waited for like 5 minutes and then he came back. He let us in and invited us in without us saying anything at all. Needless to say, it was a much nicer reception than we were used to. He told us how his neighbor is a member and how he has lots of member friends and how his dad drives the bus that takes the elderly to the church. So that was a bit of a 'small world' moment. His name is Jonathan and we taught him a little bit about the Restoration of the Gospel of Jesus Christ. He invited us to return so that was fantastic.
In other news we had a little earthquake, a tremor, a couple days ago. It was weird. I was studying the Book of Mormon and all of a sudden I heard the house creaking and then I felt shaking for just a second and then it passed. I almost doubted that it was an earthquake and not just the faulty infrastructure of Guatemala City.
Well, we are still trying to echar fuego here in July First. Love you all!
Adios!

My companion was really happy when he got a happy meal.
The Hermanas and us found a Geko after one of our dinners with members and we decided to do a photo shoot. :)
