Week 63, Colby - Zone Conference!

Me at a Mexican market

Hello everyone! This week we got to teach some new people the gospel so we will see how that goes. The highlight of my week was zone conference!

We had so many good messages shared at zone conference but the one which struck me the most was something like this "We don't know why God required Joseph Smith to seal his testimony with his blood, but God required it and Joseph gave it." Similarly, prophets across time were required to sacrifice immensely for God including Jesus Christ our Savior.

I encourage everyone to remember that. When you feel like you're going through hard things, or that the Lord is requiring much of you, remember that others have done more and that you will be blessed more than you can imagine for your sacrifices. God requires perfection eventually. We cannot reach our potential without the refining and painful fires of adversity and sacrifice. God loves us enough to prove us and help us make ourselves better.

In addition to zone conference I had buffalo wild wings with our district and that was super good. I tried the BLAZIN wings which was a mistake. It was the spiciest thing I have ever eaten and wrecked the rest of my meal. But it tastes good at least. I still recommend mango habanero.

Good news. The smoke finally blew out of Kansas and it's way clearer now.

Also I went to a Mexican and Asian Market during my stay in Garden City for Zone Conference and got some good food and treats including Mexican spicy tamarind candy which is good. You should try some.

Have a great week!
Adios!

An interesting bug we found on our wall. Enjoy.
I'm sorry if any of you are insectophobes (that's definitely not a word but whatever)
