Week 69, Colby - Halloween Night at the Museum

We had to dress up for one of the museum's Halloween events so I was a detective
(because it was the easiest)

Hello.

Four Score and Seven Weeks ago since my last email... oops, but I'm doing it now.

As you all know, not as much happens as it used to because of the coronavirus but I do have some cool things to report. The first is that we were able to help our local museum with a halloween event they were doing. We helped them get ready and execute the event and it was super fun to be able to hand out treats to kids and help out our great community members here. We also dressed up and I'll attach pictures. We also helped the museum out with indexing for county births and marriages all the way back to the 1800s. It's crazy.

Another cool thing that happened is that we went knocking on people's doors for the first time since March! It was honestly not very successful and left something to be desired. We could only contact those who had talked to missionaries before but most didn't answer or want to talk to us. I think that's just another testament to why we needed to move to online finding through social media. It just goes to show that God knows what he's doing and how to lead His church.

Well we also were able to teach an investigator in these past weeks. He and his family came to church and seemed super nice. We met with them over zoom afterward and taught them about the Restoration of the Gospel and he seemed to think it was interesting.

Halloween passed uneventfully and no one knocked on our darkened doorstep which was probably for the best considering that we were recently quarantined for possibly coming in contact with the virus. Luckily it all panned out in our favor and we aren't quarantined anymore.

My companion and I are now service coordinators so we have to find more service opportunities in our area and district and post about them. I'm excited to have some sort of responsibility like that as it will give me something to think about and do when I'm short on other things.

Also, I'm going to try and make fried pickles this week so I will update you on how that goes.
Adios!

This is when we were helping out with indexing in the museum.

I also made some cheese a couple weeks ago. It turned out not bad for my first time.

Here's a black cat that likes to hang around our apartment.

Oh yeah it also snowed here like 4 in.
